Overview
Ceiling is a transparent true-peak mastering limiter. It controls final peaks without a separate saturation, clipping, wet/dry, or multiband stage.
Display bay
The GR lane shows how much level is being reduced over time. The waveform beneath it shows where limiting occurs in the passage. Drag the ceiling filament to set CEILING, or use the GAIN zone to drive the limiter.
Control row
STEREO LINK, RELEASE, STYLE, and OS shape how Ceiling reacts and how closely the channels follow one another.
Meter cluster
IN, OUT, HEAD, HOLD, loudness, and release readouts make the final level and limiter behavior visible without covering the waveform.
Monitoring footer
BYPASS, DELTA, and UNITY provide three distinct comparisons: the unprocessed input, the removed signal, and a level-matched wet signal.
Signal flow
GAIN drives the signal into true-peak detection and limiting. The selected STYLE and RELEASE setting govern recovery, OS controls processing quality, and the final guard enforces the selected ceiling before output dither. DELTA, UNITY, and BYPASS use latency-aligned references so each comparison answers a different listening question.
Supported layouts
Ceiling is an audio effect for matched mono and stereo tracks. It does not expose a sidechain, surround bus, instrument input, or MIDI effect mode.
