Validation Notes: Ceiling

Current public release: v1.0.6

These results cover v1.0.5. They do not cover the current release, v1.0.6.

Audio behavior checked

True-peak ceiling enforcement

Hot-input, quiet-floor, and guard-window controls verify that Ceiling holds the selected true-peak limit and that its published meter agrees with an independent output measurement.

Transparent monitoring paths

Paired controls cover transparent passage, forced gain reduction, delta monitoring, unity comparison, and the controls that distinguish each state.

Oversampling and release behavior

Every oversampling tier is checked against the ceiling contract, while release-style tests require real gain reduction and distinguish the calibrated recovery behaviors.

Mono and stereo host layouts

The current release accepts matched mono and stereo effect layouts while rejecting unsupported or mismatched channel configurations.

Release qualification

Native qualification targets

VST3 / Audio Unit / AAX / CLAP

Verified macOS formats

  • The exact release candidate completed its 22-target native qualification profile and an independent candidate verification.
  • VST3, Audio Unit, AAX, and CLAP were bound to the verified universal macOS candidate.
  • PACE signing, Apple notarization, code signing, stapling, and installer validation completed for the released artifacts.
  • Independent publication verification and a cache-busted CDN download matched the recorded release bytes.
Scope and limits
  • This record covers Ceiling 1.0.5 for the released macOS formats listed above.
  • It reports the named checks and their release identity. It is not a claim that every host, session, or future operating-system update has been exercised.

How to read these notes

This page summarizes the checks attached to the named public release. It separates verified behavior from the boundaries that were not exercised, so a passing release record does not become a broader promise than the evidence supports.
